Job summary

Kenco Logistics seeks an Automation Technician I to maintain and troubleshoot AGV/AMR/ASRS systems, supporting operations at Kenco Fleet Services. You will collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure reliability, minimize downtime, and drive continuous improvement across automation assets.

Responsibilities include diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and documentation of repairs, with emphasis on safety and quality in a fast-paced environment. 25% travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or tech school graduate required.
• 0–2 years of mechanic experience; preferably with repair/maintenance of automated systems and conveyors.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems on multiple types of equipment and systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to diagnose and resolve issues.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical team members.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Self-motivated, self-directed, responsible, and able to work independently or in a team.
• Must be able to frequently lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to safely operate lift trucks, scissor lifts and boom lifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on automation equipment to minimize downtime.
• Work in elevated areas using fall protection equipment per OSHA standards.
• Collaborate with operations to optimize performance of automation equipment for efficiency and throughput.
• Maintain parts inventory and repair records with accurate documentation.
• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance documentation and checklists.
