Job summary

MRP Solutions is seeking an Automation Technician to support installation, maintenance, and optimization of auxiliary conveying equipment within our manufacturing operations. This role suits a hands-on technician with experience in automation systems, controls, and material handling equipment in a fast-paced production setting.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing PLCs, HMIs, sensors, drives, and control systems; performing preventive maintenance; supporting startups and process

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Automation or Electrical Technology.
• 2+ years of experience maintaining automated industrial equipment.
• Working knowledge of PLC systems, industrial controls, VFDs, sensors, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Experience with auxiliary conveying equipment, material handling systems, or plastics processing equipment preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read electrical and pneumatic schematics.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair auxiliary conveying systems and related automation equipment.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control system issues to minimize downtime.
• Program, adjust, and maintain PLCs, HMIs, sensors, drives, and automated control systems.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on conveyors, loaders, feeders, vacuum conveying systems, and related equipment.
• Support equipment startups, commissioning activities, and process improvements.
• Monitor system performance and recommend modifications to improve reliability, efficiency, and safety.
