Tyson Foods is seeking an Automation Technician for the St. Joseph Prepared Foods Plant in Missouri.
The role focuses on high-level troubleshooting of electrical, PLCs, fluid power and mechanical systems, supporting engineering and operations with installation and modification of integrated systems, and providing technical support through all project phases. Requirements include high school diploma or GED, 2+ years in automation/industrial maintenance, SAP Maintenance familiarity, and strong
Qualifications
- Education: High School or GED required.
- Experience: 2+ years in automation and/or industrial maintenance.
- Experience in repair and troubleshooting of electrical, electrical controls, PLCs and mechanical systems.
- Must be proficient in document organization and technical materials; SAP Maintenance knowledge preferred.
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal; ability to work in a team and interact with all levels of staff.
- Travel: 1-5 trips per year outside assigned location.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-level machine and systems troubleshooting and repair.
- Assist engineering and plant staff with specification, installation, and modification of integrated systems.
- Provide technical support for all phases of the operation.
