Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking an Automation Technician 7 for the Prepared Foods division. The role focuses on high-level troubleshooting, electrical and fluid power expertise, and supporting engineering with system installation and modification.

The position requires 4+ years in automation or industrial maintenance, an AS degree in Electronics Technology (or related field), and proficiency with SAP Maintenance. Travel is 1–5 trips per year; 3rd shift is typical.

Qualifications

Education: AS degree in Electronics Technology or related field.
Experience: 4+ years in automation or industrial maintenance.
Proficiency with SAP Maintenance or willingness to learn.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Technical Support: Provide technical support for all phases of the operation.
Troubleshooting and Repair: Perform high-level troubleshooting and repair tasks on machines and systems.
Engineering Assistance: Assist engineering and plant staff with specification, installation, and modification of integrated systems.
Team Collaboration: Work effectively within a team, collaborating with colleagues to solve problems and enhance operations.
Communication: Convey technical information effectively and contribute to productive discussions aimed at improving processes and resolving issues.
