Job summary
Tyson Foods in Kansas City is seeking an Automation Technician to support advanced manufacturing systems in the Prepared Foods division. You will troubleshoot high-level machinery, work with electrical, fluid power, and control systems, and partner with engineering and operations teams to keep production running.
The role requires 2+ years of automation or industrial maintenance experience, high school or GED, PLCs and electrical experience, and knowledge of SAP Maintenance.
Qualifications
- High School or GED required for the role.
- 2+ years automation or industrial maintenance experience.
- Experience in repair and troubleshooting of electrical controls, PLCs, and mechanical systems.
- Proficient with SAP Maintenance or willing to learn.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; team oriented.
- Travel 1–5 trips per year outside the location; ability to work in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair high-level machine and system failures.
- Assist engineering and plant staff with the specification, installation, and modification of integrated systems.
- Provide technical support across all phases of operation.
