Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking an Automation Technician 7 for the St Joseph, MO plant on the 1st shift. The role focuses on troubleshooting and maintaining electrical, controls, fluid power, and mechanical systems in a fast‑paced production environment.

Hours are 6:00 AM–2:30 PM with overtime potential and weekly pay. Benefits begin on day one, and the company provides education assistance to support career growth. 1–5 trips per year may be required, with relocation not offered.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or GED required.
• 2+ years of automation experience and/or industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience in repair and troubleshooting of electrical, electrical controls, PLCs and mechanical systems.
• Must be proficient in SAP Maintenance and able to organize technical documents.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and travel 1–5 times per year.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair high‑level machine and system issues.
• Assist Engineering and Plant staff with specification, installation, and modification of integrated systems.
• Provide technical support across all phases of operation.
