Job summary

Havel is seeking a Controls & Automation Technician to install hardware design and software programming for Building Management Control Direct Digital Control Systems.

The role involves documenting processes, coordinating with customers and subcontractors, and performing on-site system commissioning and training while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Technical Associates Degree with 1-2 years field experience or 3 years related HVAC experience.
  • Hands-on design and commissioning of digital HVAC control systems.
  • Strong communication skills for non-technical audiences.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Team player with reliable attendance; willing to work extended hours/weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Install hardware design and software programming following established standards.
  • Provide detailed information to communicate design and operation to customers and subcontractors.
  • Responsible for graphics building and interface documentation.
  • Check out HVAC control systems and wiring; verify device connections.
  • Load, verify, and commission all system controllers as required.
  • Document processes for Building Management Control Direct Digital Control Systems.
  • Develop long-term relationships with contractors, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Attend job progress meetings and adhere to safety standards.

Job Summary

Havel is seeking a Controls & Automation Technician to install hardware design and software programming, documenting processes for the Building Management Control Direct Digital Control Systems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Complete typical installation hardware design and software programming using established standards as required
  • Provide detailed information to communicate design and operation to customers and subcontractors
  • Responsible for graphics building
  • Check out of HVAC control systems and wiring
  • Complete the loading, device verification, and commissioning of all system controllers as required
  • Document processes for the Building Management Control Direct Digital Control Systems
  • Perform site-specific training for owner/operator on the total system in full of assistance
  • Develop long-term relationships with contractors, clients, consultants, and subcontractors
  • Attend job progress meetings as required
  • Adhere to safety standards
  • Must be able to stoop, kneel, and climb ladders when needed
  • Other duties assigned
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a technical Associates Degree with 1-2 years of field experience or 3 years of equivalent related experience in the HVAC industry
  • Must have relevant technical hands on systems design and commissioning of digital HVAC controls systems
  • Strong customer and communication skills to a non-technical audience
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Niagara AX certified preferred
  • Must work in a team environment
  • Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required.

Geographic Disclosure

Compensation Range: $18.00 - $45.00 per hour
