Job summary

BD is seeking an Automation Control Technician to support, maintain, and optimize automated manufacturing systems. You will work hands-on with electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, plus PLC troubleshooting, with a background in Mechatronics.

The role involves preventive maintenance, documentation, safety compliance, and collaboration with Engineering and Production to improve equipment performance in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on lab and project experience with analyzing schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Understanding and applying Ohm's Law.
• Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.
• Foundational PLC programming and ladder logic interpretation.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Production).
• Demonstrate strong written communication to document troubleshooting steps and actions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Setup and maintenance of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems on production equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Assist with installation, debugging, and start-up of new equipment with Engineering.
• Maintain equipment logs and document process changes.
• Support vision systems and automated inspection tools.
• Collaborate with production to resolve equipment issues.
