Job summary

SMC Ltd. is seeking an Automation Supervisor to lead and develop a team of Production Automation Technicians in a highly automated pharmaceutical and medical device environment. You will oversee robots, vision systems, PLCs, HMIs, and data collection systems to ensure safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.

You will drive continuous improvement, coordinate with vendors, and maintain documentation while promoting safety and lean practices across shifts.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or training in Automation, Electrical, Controls, Mechatronics, Robotics, or related field preferred.
• 3 years of leadership in industrial automation robotics, controls, or manufacturing experience.
• Strong electrical, mechanical, and controls troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, industrial robots, sensors, servos, and automated production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, schedule, train, and develop Production Automation Technicians.
• Establish daily priorities based on production needs, equipment issues, and projects.
• Provide hands-on technical support for robots, automation cells, conveyors, vision systems, sensors, PLCs, HMIs, servo systems, and other automated equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, robotic, and control-related issues.
• Ensure preventive maintenance activities are completed accurately and on schedule.
