Job summary

Dynalectric San Diego is seeking a Sales Engineer to lead technical sales activities, promoting automation solutions to clients including consulting engineers, general contractors, and end users. The role supports the Industrial Department's day-to-day operations and partnerships across Southern California.

Ideal candidates will have deep experience in instrumentation, control systems, and process automation, with strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in applications engineering, sales engineering, account management, or similar technical sales promoting instrumentation, control systems, valves, automation solutions, or related technologies.
• Knowledge of industrial automation systems including PLCs, SCADA, DCS, instrumentation, and process control systems.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, process flow diagrams, instrument datasheets, and technical specifications.
• Strong customer-facing communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure project managers and engineers understand and meet customer expectations throughout proposal, design, implementation, and closeout phases.
• Monitor customer satisfaction and address concerns by coordinating resources to resolve issues promptly.
• Foster long-term client relationships through regular communication and exceptional service.
• Develop and execute strategies to achieve departmental growth objectives.
• Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within target industries.
• Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients and industry partners.
• Assist in recruiting qualified candidates for departmental positions.
• Support forecasting and实现 department revenue and businessdevelopment objectives.
• Collaborate with project managers to establish project schedules and budgets.
• Balance workload and staffing with project commitments.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with owners, general contractors, consulting engineers, equipment suppliers, and vendors.
