Job summary

Thorp Controls in Denver, CO is expanding its Automation Sales Engineering Team to lead Schneider Electric process automation solution sales across locations. You will develop expertise in Control Expert, Modicon PLCs, EcoStruxure Automation Expert and related control and networking products, and lead sales calls to promote solutions that align with customer goals.

The role requires strong presentation, analytical, and interpersonal skills, with willingness to travel 20–40% and a drive to build

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Ability to work independently in technical sales, business development, or applications engineering.
• Comfort presenting and selling in front of customers.
• Strong analytical skills and quick learning of new software in automation environments.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, team oriented.

Responsibilities

• Develop expertise in Schneider Electric process automation portfolio and related products.
• Identify and pursue process automation sales opportunities with account managers and Schneider Electric staff.
• Lead sales calls to promote solutions and understand customer pain points.
