Job summary
ATS Group is seeking a software engineer to drive automation projects from programming through delivery, including follow‑up support and documentation. You will design with the team, supplier or customer and provide PLC, HMI and/or SCADA programming, while contributing to internal development and standardization.
Based in Merelbeke, you will advance within the automation domain, with occasional customer-site work and rare travel abroad.
Qualifications
- Master's or bachelor's degree in Industrial Sciences Automation, Electrical Engineering or Electromechanics.
- 3–5 years software experience with PLC and SCADA.
- Fluent in Dutch; understand and speak English; able to manage in French.
- Driver's license B.
Responsibilities
- Carry out automation projects from programming through delivery, including follow‑up support and documentation.
- Discuss specifications and design with team, supplier or customer.
- Provide PLC, HMI and/or SCADA programming based on project needs.
- Contribute software‑wise to internal development and standardization.
- Possible advancement to senior or team lead within the same domain.
- Work from our office in Merelbeke; occasional on-site at customer premises; sporadic residence abroad.
