Job summary

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering or science with 2–4 years relevant work experience.
• Experience operating and troubleshooting listed lab instruments.
• Experience authoring PM, IQ, OQ, repair, and other service-related documentation.
• Experience developing and leading training programs to provide knowledge-transfer to other engineers and lab personnel.
• Experience working within a CLIA and GMP regulated environment.
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external colleagues and customers from diverse scientific, engineering, operational, and regulatory disciplines.
• Liquid Handler programming experience is a plus.
• Robotics experience is a plus.
• Ability to take part in an on-call rotation with after hours and weekend responses as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment installations, maintenance, repairs, and qualifications to ensure reliability and up-time.
• Monitor instrument metrics and advocate serviceability within cross-functional teams
• Ensure service documentation meets Guardant Health's quality management system
• Evaluate equipment performance trends to propose long-term solutions.
• Develop SOPs, checklists, and service bulletins to disseminate information.
• Contribute to maintenance and calibration system management
• Help end-users troubleshoot issues
• Provide service during normal hours, with after-hours and weekend support as needed
• Communicate effectively with third party service providers.
