Job summary

Balluff Inc. is launching a January 2027 Sales Trainee Engagement Program (STEP) in Florence, KY. The twelve-month, paid rotation will shape you into a Technical Sales Engineer in a defined territory, with hands-on training across Technical Support, Sales, and Operations.

Ideal candidates have a 4-year degree in engineering, business, or a technical field and up to 1–2 years post-grad. Expect relocation twice and a path to independent sales engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a technical discipline.
• Up to 1–2 years of post-education experience.
• Technical aptitude with a willingness to learn Balluff products and systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual meeting platforms.
• Willingness to relocate twice: Florence, KY area for training, then territory assignment.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through Balluff's core functions: Technical Sales, Sales Support, Operations, and more.
• Learn how Balluff products work by solving real customer applications and building solutions.
• Participate in structured product and sales training programs.
• Gain experience with internal systems, customer communication, and demos.
• Travel with and shadow experienced Sales Engineers; build customer relationships virtually.
