Job summary

Andrews Cooper seeks an Engineering Technician Supervisor to lead and mentor a team, oversee safety and quality on custom automation builds, and align project execution with engineering leadership. You will guide technicians in mechanical, electrical, and system-level work across multiple client sites and locations.

The role emphasizes maintaining safe operations, creating process documentation, and providing hands-on guidance while ensuring adherence to company standards and timelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Safety/Automation management or equivalent leadership roles.
• Experience building complex non-standardized equipment or products.
• Passion for keeping employees safe while working on complex equipment and electrical wiring.
• Natural leadership ability and collaborative, team-oriented leadership style.
• Up to 10% travel may be required between locations.

Responsibilities

• Manage employees, safety, and quality on custom automation builds.
• Create process documentation to maintain quality and safety standards.
• Lead technicians supporting mechanical, electrical, and system-level builds and testing.
• Oversee day-to-day lab and shop operations, including scheduling and workload balancing.
• Ensure adherence to Andrews Cooper standards, safety practices, and quality processes.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance for assembly, troubleshooting, and test activities.
• Partner with engineering leadership to support project execution and delivery timelines.
• Mentor, coach, and develop technicians through feedback and training.
