Job summary

SEL is seeking a mechanical/robotics engineering technician to join our Product Support and Development - Mechanical team in the Manufacturing Division. The role blends hands-on design, problem-solving, and direct collaboration with customers, as you help develop automation solutions on the production floor.

You will use CAD routinely, work with robotics hardware, vision systems, and fixtures, and participate in design reviews to ensure safe, reliable, and economical implementations.

Qualifications

• 2-year+ technical degree or equivalent with physics, geometry, algebra and basic trig.
• CAD experience required.
• 2+ years in automation, materials/processes, mechanics or related manufacturing fields.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design work and problem solving for automation solutions.
• Collaborate with customers and team from problem statement to solution integration.
• Support production staff and help ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.
• Participate in design reviews and provide/receive feedback.
