Job summary
ArtiFlex Automation designs and builds custom automation systems to help manufacturers improve productivity, quality, and safety. The Automation Quote Engineer serves as a technical specialist who bridges customer needs with engineered automation solutions, developing cost estimates and quoting documentation while leading technical discussions with customers.

Qualifications
- Experience in industrial automation and systems integration.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and automation design documents.
- Familiarity with cost estimation methods, pricing models, and cycle-time/MTM analysis.
Responsibilities
- Translate customer requirements into automated equipment concepts, preliminary process designs, and feasibility assessments.
- Participate in customer meetings, technical reviews, and concept presentations to explain proposed solutions.
- Develop detailed cost estimates for customized automated systems, including labor, materials, controls, fabrication, integration, and installation.
- Create comprehensive quoting packages, including process flow, scope definition, assumptions, timelines, risk considerations, and cost breakdowns.
- Conduct cycle-time analysis, MTM evaluations, process flow mapping, and throughput modeling to validate solutions.
- Partner with Sales, Engineering, Program Management, and Purchasing to ensure accurate, competitive proposals.
- Support internal bid reviews and ensure quotes meet technical, commercial, and strategic requirements.
- Contribute to customer relationship development by providing technical insights, concept guidance, and responsive estimating support.
