Job summary

Bonterra is seeking an automation-focused QA Engineer to join our ETO engineering team. You’ll build and maintain automated tests for new features, validate data, and expand coverage across UI, API, and integration layers.

You’ll work with Software Engineers, Product Management, and Customer Success to ensure high-quality releases and reliable automated feedback loops. Strong Playwright, TypeScript, SQL skills, and experience in Agile environments are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of QA Engineering, SDET, or test automation for web apps.
• Strong Playwright experience and production-grade TS test automation.
• Experience testing REST APIs with Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Familiar with Git, CI/CD and Agile workflows.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated tests for new features, bug fixes, and regression scenarios.
• Evolve the automated test suite into a production-quality codebase.
• Choose UI, API, or integration tests based on risk, coverage, speed.
• Create API/integration tests to validate business logic and data integrity.
• Investigate test failures and identify root causes; eliminate flaky tests.
• Collaborate with engineers and product management to improve test coverage.
