Job summary
Tenneco is seeking an Automation Engineer to lead automated manufacturing projects for new equipment and upgrades in our Wisconsin facility. You will guide cross-functional teams through conception, installation, and buy-off, while improving productivity and reducing scrap.
The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Automation/Engineering and at least three years of leadership in automated projects, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Automation/Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum three years leading automated manufacturing projects.
- Strong communication, problem solving, and computer skills.
- Machine shop and equipment maintenance experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Develop scope of work for new equipment and upgrading existing equipment
- Adhere to quality, environmental, health and safety policies related to production equipment
- Create machine manuals, operator work instructions, and troubleshooting guides
- Analyze and plan workforce utilization, and layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency
- Lead cross-functional teams to research and deploy new automated manufacturing technologies to reduce scrap, improve productivity, and address customer concerns
- Develop business case proposals for new equipment projects, including ROI and timelines
