Job summary

PPG is seeking a Process Controls Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve plant process control, instrumentation, and electrical systems to ensure safe and efficient manufacturing operations. You will support production, maintenance, and engineering teams ensuring PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and networks perform reliably while complying with policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in process controls, instrumentation, automation, and electrical systems in manufacturing.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMI/SCADA, industrial networks, and process instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot process control systems including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and industrial networks.
• Support Allen-Bradley PLC platforms, SCADA systems, HMI applications, and communication networks.
• Resolve process control issues impacting production, quality, safety, or reliability.
• Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve control strategies and plant automation.
• Assist with instrumentation such as flow meters, transmitters, temperature/level instruments, valves, and analyzers.
