The Hershey Company is seeking an Associate Manager, Process Controls at the Bluffton, IN plant. You will lead control system projects, support automation for packaging operations, and mentor teams across Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance to improve reliability and safety.

You will troubleshoot, optimize, and document electrical controls, HMIs, PLCs, and automation assets while ensuring compliance with food safety and cybersecurity requirements.

Competenze

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• 3+ years in operations, engineering, automation, or process controls.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical controls, automation, instrumentation, and motor controls.
• Experience with manufacturing equipment and processing systems including packaging.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex equipment and perform root-cause analysis.
• Strong communication of technical resolutions to internal and external stakeholders.
• Basic to intermediate MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD.
• Onsite manufacturing environment; some shift work.
• GMP and PPE compliance; allergen environment.

• Execute assigned engineering tasks and technical delivery for control and packaging system projects.
• Design, develop, integrate, and optimize automated process and packaging systems.
• Provide technical leadership and support for troubleshooting and optimization of electrical controls.
• Support equipment checkout, testing, installation, and startup; coordinate with teams.
• Lead or participate in initiatives to improve equipment reliability and productivity.
• Maintain current control-system software, drawings, and records with security in mind.
• Ensure compliance with safety, electrical, and cybersecurity requirements.
• Prepare cost estimates, feasibility assessments, and equipment recommendations.
• Serve as a technical resource for process control during off-hours as needed.
