Job summary

PPG’s Circleville, OH plant is seeking a hands-on Process Control Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automated manufacturing and industrial machinery. You will work directly with PLCs, robotics, and electrical systems to minimize downtime and report to the Maintenance Manager.

Qualifications

• Trade certification or an associate degree in mechatronics/electronics/industrial automation.
• 2–5+ years in industrial electrical systems, maintenance, or automation controls.
• Proficiency with PLC platforms (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell) and reading schematics.
• Strict adherence to lockout/tagout (LOTO) and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic failures in automated equipment.
• Modify ladder logic, debug PLC/HMI programs, and maintain HMIs.
• Perform preventive maintenance on sensors, servo drives, motors, and VFDs.
• Test control panels and calibrate instruments using diagnostic tools.
• Read electrical schematics, update wiring diagrams, and log maintenance tasks.
