Job summary

PPG Industries in Delaware seeks a Process Controls Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve plant process control, instrumentation, and electrical systems to support safe, reliable manufacturing.

You will collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams, work with Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and industrial networks, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in process controls, instrumentation, automation, and electrical systems in manufacturing.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMI/SCADA, and industrial networks; ability to read electrical schematics and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot process control systems including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and networks.
• Support Allen-Bradley platforms, SCADA systems, HMIs, and communication networks.
• Resolve issues impacting production, quality, safety or reliability; monitor performance and improve control strategies.
• Specify and troubleshoot process instrumentation (flow, pressure, temperature, level, control valves, analyzers).
• Assist maintenance and operations for efficient facility operation; support electrical systems troubleshooting.
• Ensure instrumentation and electrical equipment operate within design parameters.
