Job summary

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division in Pinckneyville, IL is seeking an Application & Automation Technician-1st Shift to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment and automated production systems.

You will work with PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and industrial networks; perform preventive and corrective maintenance; document activities; and ensure safety and reliability in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• Basic: High school diploma or GED with 5 years industrial maintenance exp.
• Preferred: Associate degree or cert in Industrial Maintenance or Mechatronics.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and automation systems essential.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, install and maintain automation equipment and systems.
• Diagnose downtime, identify root causes, implement corrective actions.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance per procedures.
• Work with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, robotics, and control networks.
• Document inspections, repairs, and equipment history accurately.
• Safely operate tools and follow 5S and LOTO requirements.
