Job summary

Omnicell is seeking an Automation Pharmacy Technician 4 in Chicago, IL. You will support the XR2 automated system, manage inventory, perform maintenance, and ensure compliance with Pharmacy Services procedures. The role requires a valid IL pharmacy license and CPhT certification is preferred.

Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, documentation updates, and proactive communication with customers to maintain high satisfaction and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Active IL State Board of Pharmacy license or registration.
• Active National Certification Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred (PTCB/ExCPT).
• Working knowledge of pharmacy automation and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate Omnicell automation at customer sites following SOPs and best practices.
• Perform return and restocking duties to optimize the customer’s use of automation.
• Monitor formulary inventory levels to ensure medication availability for daily dispensing.
• Maintain and report on automation equipment status and issues to TAC or support teams.
• Complete required documentation and training, ensuring compliance with Pharmacy Services procedures.
