Job summary

Omnicell XR2 automation technician role in a hospital setting. You will operate, monitor, and maintain XR2 systems, manage inventory, and collaborate with clinical teams to enhance patient care.

The position requires a certified pharmacy technician with active state license and national certification, plus COVID-19 vaccination. Travel for training is possible; on-site work at the Philadelphia location is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Active State Pharmacy Technician Registration/License (where required).
• Active National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB, CPhT, or ExCPT).
• COVID-19 vaccination requirement.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain Omnicell XR2 automation systems.
• Manage medication inventory, restocking, returns, and formulary optimization.
• Perform routine equipment inspections, cleaning, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
• Monitor system performance and escalate unresolved issues.
• Maintain records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff to support workflows and customer service.
• Train users on system functionality and best practices.
• Serve as a resource for customers and team members.
• Maintain required pharmacy technician certifications and licenses.

What You'll Bring

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Active State Pharmacy Technician Registration/License (where required).
• Active National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB, CPhT, or ExCPT).
• COV19 (initial dose/s) required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program.
• 1+ year of hospital pharmacy technician experience.
• 1+ year of experience working with pharmacy automation technology.
• Basic troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude.

• 8-10 hour shifts; schedules may change based on business needs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
