Job summary

Little Leaf Farms in Manchester, TN is seeking an Automation Operator to operate, monitor, and optimize automated packaging systems in a fast-paced lettuce production line.

You will manage Ishida multiheaded weighers, conveyors, baggers, labelers, case packers and palletizers, perform setup and basic troubleshooting, and support maintenance to minimize downtime; sanitation and GMP/HACCP compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: Technical certification or vocational training in manufacturing, automation, or related field.
• Experience: 1+ years in fast-paced manufacturing; 2+ years operating automated packaging equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, monitor, and operate automated packaging equipment, including Ishida weighers, conveyors, baggers, sealers, labelers, case packers and palletizers.
• Manage the flow of harvested lettuce through conveyors and scales to finished goods.
• Perform equipment changeovers and adjust parameters to optimize throughput and yield.
• Enter daily production data, generate basic reports, and participate in daily shift huddles.
