Job summary

Little Leaf Farms is seeking an Automation Operator to operate and optimize automated packaging systems in a refrigerated lettuce production setting. You will manage Ishida weighers, conveyors, baggers, labelers, case packers, and palletizers to maintain efficient product flow from harvest to finished goods.

The role emphasizes equipment setup, basic troubleshooting, and collaboration with maintenance to minimize downtime while ensuring food safety and regulatory compliance under GMP and HACCP

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: Technical certification or vocational training in manufacturing or automation.
• Experience: 1+ years in fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Preferred: 2+ years operating automated packaging equipment (PLC/robotics/Ishida) in ag/food.
• Knowledge of GMP/HACCP is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Set up, monitor, and operate automated packaging equipment including Ishida weighers and conveyors.
• Manage flow of harvested lettuce through production lines and ensure proper throughput.
• Perform changeovers and adjust equipment parameters for throughput and yield.
• Enter daily production data and participate in shift huddles, reporting issues.
