Job summary

Pfizer Inc. is seeking an Automation Engineering Team Lead to oversee 24/7 plant operations, automation systems, and lifecycle management at our Rocky Mount site.

You will partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations to deliver continuous improvements and ensure regulatory compliance. The role requires strong leadership, project management, and expertise in DeltaV/PLCs within a validated pharmaceutical environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of experience in Digital, Automation, IT in regulated manufacturing.
• Experience leading technical teams in a matrix structure and managing projects.
• Knowledge of GMP, lifecycle governance, and change control in validated environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead 24/7 Operations Services and coordinate work plans.
• Ensure uptime, compliance and data integrity across automation systems.
• Own site automation roadmap and capital planning.
• Oversee incident response, triage and escalation within SLAs.
• Coach technical teams and mentor staff for future capabilities.
