Job summary

Pfizer Inc. is seeking an Automation Engineer to support manufacturing and digital network automation. You will contribute to project delivery, maintain validation plans and provide 24x7 support to automation systems on a fast-paced manufacturing floor.

The role requires a degree with relevant experience, strong knowledge of DCS/PLCs/SCADA, GMP compliance, and ability to draft SOWs and system docs. On-site work with potential for relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years experience, or Master's with 0+ years, or Associate's with 6+ years, or high school with 8+ years experience.
• Robust understanding of Computerized Systems, Regulatory Compliance regulations, and standards.
• Proven experience in Automation Engineering.
• Proficiency in drafting SOWs, writing software test plans, user requirements, and system design documents.
• Experience with programming industrial control systems such as DCS, PLCs, SCADA, Historians, or SQL Server.
• Troubleshooting to root cause and implementing corrective actions.
• Hands-on automation projects with GMP compliance.
• Familiarity with process controls equipment.
• Excellent written and oral communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to project completion, manage own time on targets, and lead small project teams.
• Monitor and complete periodic review, validation master plan for DNA systems/programs.
• Provide 24x7x365 support for automation systems and participate in capital and non-capital projects.
• Modify complex control logic requiring process expertise.
• Mentor Automation Engineers staff and serve as technical trainer.
• Communicate progress and issues clearly to peers.
