Job summary

MSC Industrial Supply Co. in Jonestown, PA is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician for Automation to help design, implement, maintain and repair automated systems within the CFC.

The role requires five years of related experience, PLC troubleshooting, and knowledge of conveyors, hydraulics and electrical systems. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, lead junior technicians, and support safety programs to maximize uptime and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent is required.
• Minimum of five years job-related experience required.
• Certification or Degree in related area of maintenance.
• Training in automation equipment.
• Two or more years of experience troubleshooting and repairing controls equipment including PLCs.
• Proficiency in conveyor system parts and operation (merges, sorters, VFDs, motors).
• Knowledge interpreting hydraulics, electrical information and pneumatics.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automation equipment per manufacturer guidelines.
• Lead and mentor less experienced technicians during off-hours.
• Schedule routine maintenance on equipment and perform work on assigned automation for operation.
• Order and replace parts for routine maintenance.
• Enter data for work orders and maintenance time sheets accurately.
