Job summary

Accelera in Buffalo Grove, IL, is seeking skilled Maintenance Technicians to support our automated production facility. You will maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-driven systems to keep production safe and productive.

This permanent, full-time role offers an hourly wage of $28–$34, a quarterly bonus, and an additional 10% shift premium for night work. You will diagnose faults, perform preventive maintenance, and collaborate with automation and engineering teams to

Qualifications

• Background in maintenance in automated warehouse, conveyor, robotics, or manufacturing settings
• Proficiency in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
• Experience with automated machinery or PLC-based systems
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
• Experience in corrective and preventive maintenance in high-volume automated environments
• Strong communication and documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve issues with robotic, automated, and material handling machinery.
• Diagnose electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical faults to restore service safely.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to improve long-term reliability of automated systems.
• Troubleshoot PLC-driven machinery and assist with diagnostics.
• Use drawings and diagrams to guide work and determine root causes of failures.
• Inspect, disassemble, and replace worn components to keep production moving.
• Carry out system validations, re-qualifications, and calibrations.
• Collaborate with automation and engineering teams on upgrades and installations.
• Contribute to reliability initiatives to reduce downtime.
