Job summary

Action Group in Oklahoma is seeking an experienced Automation Technician to join the maintenance team. The position offers a stable, long-term manufacturing career with day shift hours and competitive pay of $39.21 per hour on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule.

The ideal candidate has experience with PLCs, electrical systems, and instrumentation, plus strong troubleshooting skills. You will support automated control systems, perform preventive maintenance, and contribute to safety and process

Qualifications

• Technical degree in Electrical Technology, Electronics, Electro-Mechanical Technology, Automation, or related field, or 2+ years industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience with PLCs, electrical systems, instrumentation, and industrial controls.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and instrumentation maintenance, including replacing and repairing components.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and automation equipment to minimize downtime.
• Assist with programming, monitoring, and maintaining automated control systems.
• Identify root causes of production and quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Support production during equipment outages and assist with safety improvements.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Maintain robotic equipment and automated machinery, ensuring proper operation.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to improve processes and reliability.
• Follow all safety procedures, GMP standards, and sanitation requirements.
• Assist with training team members as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
