Job summary

Flex in Buffalo Grove, IL is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our night shift team (10:00 p.m. – 6:30 a.m., Sun–Thu).

You will perform advanced troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on PLC-controlled production systems, pumps, motors, and automated machinery. This role requires an Associate degree in a technical field and 7+ years in industrial maintenance; strong electrical and hydraulic/pneumatic skills; ability to read schematics and diagrams; collaboration with OEMs;

Qualifications

Associate degree or technical equivalent required.
7+ years industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing.
Strong electrical troubleshooting and schematics interpretation.
Experience with PLC-controlled equipment and automation systems.
Ability to perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings to diagnose issues.
Perform preventive maintenance on production and facility equipment.
Coordinate with OEMs for specialized repairs.
Document repairs and maintenance findings accurately.
Support installation, commissioning, and continuous improvement efforts.
