We are seeking skilled Maintenance Technicians to join our team in Buffalo Grove, IL, to maintain our advanced automated production facility. This permanent, full-time role provides a strong hourly wage, a quarterly bonus program, and extra pay for those working night shifts.

You will be responsible for maintaining the health of our mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-driven systems to ensure production remains safe and highly productive.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and resolve technical issues with robotic, automated, and material handling machinery.
- Ensure equipment is returned to service safely and efficiently by diagnosing electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical faults.
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to help maintain the long-term reliability of our robotic and automated systems.
- Support the team by troubleshooting PLC-driven machinery and assisting with diagnostic processes.
- Utilize mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and system diagrams to guide your technical work.
- Determine the root cause of equipment failures to help minimize future downtime and improve overall operational stability.
- Inspect, disassemble, and repair or swap out worn components to keep the production line moving.
- Carry out system validations, re-qualifications, and routine equipment calibrations.
- Collaborate with our automation and engineering departments to facilitate system upgrades, new installations, and qualifications.
- Contribute to reliability-focused initiatives to help the entire team reduce equipment downtime.
Required Qualifications
- Practical maintenance background within automated warehouse, conveyor, robotics, or manufacturing settings.
- Proficiency in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
- Experience working with automated machinery or PLC-based systems.
- Competency in interpreting mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Background in performing corrective and preventive maintenance in high-volume, automated environments.
- Help maintain a safe and efficient production environment by accurately diagnosing and repairing equipment issues.
- Strong communication, documentation, and computer skills.
Preferred Technical Background
- Experience with material handling, automation, conveyors, or robotics.
- Skills in electronic assembly and troubleshooting, including mechanical assembly or PCB loading.
- Proficiency in harness and cable work, such as soldering, crimping, and connector assembly.
- Experience using testing and diagnostic tools like logic analyzers, multimeters, or oscilloscopes.
- Familiarity with manufacturing equipment, including wave soldering or component insertion systems.
- Ability to utilize power tools, hand tools, pneumatic tools, and precision measuring equipment.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly compensation ranging from $28 to $34, commensurate with your experience.
- Quarterly bonus eligibility of 5%, totaling up to 20% per year.
- Additional 10% pay premium for rotating night shift assignments.
