Job summary

WITRON is hiring an Electro-Mechanical Technician to support a highly automated distribution center environment in Temple, TX. You will perform preventive maintenance, electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, and PLC-based system support to keep material handling and automation systems running at peak performance.

Ideal candidates have 1–2+ years in industrial maintenance, experience with 480V systems, conveyors, motors, and automation equipment, and basic CMMS/Microsoft Office skills.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of experience as a Maintenance Technician or Electro-Mechanical Technician.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills (480V, 3-phase, controls).
• Mechanical systems experience with motors, gearboxes, conveyors.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution center environment.
• Basic computer skills (CMMS, Microsoft Office).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on automated systems.
• Work on conveyors, motors, sensors, PLCs, and control systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems (3-phase, 480V), VFDs, and mechanical equipment.
• Support operations by minimizing downtime in a fast-paced distribution center.
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Assist with equipment installation, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
• Use CMMS systems to track maintenance activities.
