Job summary

Amgen is seeking an Automation Maintenance Technician for 6PM to 6AM shifts at the New Albany, Ohio site. The role focuses on providing technical engineering support for system optimization, ensuring compliance with CFR, cGMP, SOPs, and FDA standards within the Inspection and Packaging area.

The incumbent will work with PLC/HMI diagnostics, coordinate cross-functional technical support, and participate in regulatory inspections while supporting 24-hour operations and non-standard shifts as

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in technical engineering
• Experience with PLC/SCADA in pharma/biotech
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills
• Mechatronics/CS/Eng Tech background is a plus

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced maintenance and diagnose issues on automation equipment.
• Use PLC/HMI to troubleshoot systems.
• Coordinate tech support across engineering, regulatory, calibration and validation.
• Assist regulatory inspections and respond to FDA requests.
• Maintain spare parts inventory for equipment.
• Review and improve maintenance procedures.
• Interpret P&ID, HVAC plans and related drawings.
• Support non-standard shifts, including weekends/holidays.
