Job summary

Nemera is seeking a Maintenance Technician - Automation in Buffalo Grove, IL to monitor, troubleshoot, and repair assembly, subassembly, printing, and packaging machines on a 12-hour rotating day shift (6 AM – 6 PM).

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, input work orders in SAP, and support continuous improvement while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years in a technical, hands-on position.
• Experience with complex assembly automation.
• Electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic experience.
• Knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Lift up to 40 lbs with repetitive movements.
• Push/pull items and climb ladders.
• Stand/walk for long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe work area and report unsafe conditions.
• Read and interpret gauges and measuring devices.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment.
• Diagnose pneumatic, mechanical, electrical malfunctions.
• Input maintenance work orders into SAP.
• Repair robot arms and controls and replace bad components.
• Conduct TPM activities and support continuous improvement.
• Follow 5S and cGMP guidelines.
• Assist with programming uploads to controls when needed.
• Collaborate with maintenance team and external support.
