Job summary

MDS Staffing seeks an Automation Maintenance Lead to own and optimize complex automated lines in Greater Milwaukee, WI. This direct-hire role offers multiple shifts (Mon-Fri options) and a strong, autonomous work culture with excellent pay and benefits.

You will diagnose and repair high-speed machinery, work with Allen-Bradley/Siemens PLCs, and handle VFDs and power distribution up to 480V, with opportunities for growth in a high-autonomy shop floor.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on maintenance of high-speed production machinery.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLC fault-tracing.
• Willingness to commute locally within 45 minutes of Greater Milwaukee.
• US work authorization (Citizen or Green Card).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose automated production lines to maximize uptime.
• Trace PLC I/O faults in Allen-Bradley or Siemens systems.
• Interpret schematics and ladder logic for repairs.
• Service AC/DC drives, VFDs, and power distribution up to 480V.
• Perform light fabrication and welding as needed.
