Job summary

Catalyx is seeking an Automation & IT Integration Engineer with a strong background in process control systems and industrial automation. This role serves as the interface between Automation/OT and on-site IT teams, focusing on troubleshooting connectivity and ensuring reliable data flow across platforms.

The candidate will translate automation concepts for IT staff, configure and maintain automation platforms, support data historians, and participate in GxP/validation when applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, CS, or related field.
• 3+ years in industrial automation or process control environments.
• Experience with AVEVA PI System (PI Historian).
• Experience with Ignition SCADA.
• Experience with Rockwell Automation systems (Allen-Bradley PLCs, FactoryTalk).
• Strong OT-IT troubleshooting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between Automation/OT and IT teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to equipment connectivity, communication, and data flow.
• Support integration between industrial control systems and IT infrastructure.
• Assist IT teams in understanding automation systems, architectures, and dependencies.
• Configure, maintain, and support automation platforms and data systems.
• Ensure accurate and reliable data collection through historian and integration platforms.
• Participate in GxP/validation activities where applicable.
• Document system configurations, architectures, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Support continuous improvement efforts related to system performance and reliability.
