Job summary

J&T Business Consulting is seeking a Process Development Engineer in Seymour, CT to design, optimize, and document manufacturing processes for PCB and electro‑mechanical assemblies. You will troubleshoot in real time, analyze layout data, review schematics, and develop fixtures to improve throughput and quality.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and strong hands-on skills in automation, machine programming, and blueprint reading; familiarity with IPC-A-610 and MES is a plus.

Qualifications

Strong mechanical foundation with automation focus.
Proficiency in reading engineering blueprints, schematics, and specs.

Responsibilities

Develop, optimize, and document manufacturing processes, SOPs, and work instructions for PCB and electro-mechanical assemblies.
Provide real-time technical troubleshooting during manufacturing operations to minimize downtime and improve productivity.
Analyze PCB layout data and panelization for design and process compliance.
Review blueprints, schematics, and diagrams for modifications and approvals.
Design, specify, and/or fabricate fixtures and tooling to streamline assembly workflows.
