Fusion Incorporated in Willoughby, OH seeks a Machine Process & Field Service Technician for hands-on development, debugging, and installation of automated brazing/soldering systems. You will refine processes, train customers, and support field deployments while traveling as needed.

The role blends shop-floor technical work with customer interaction, offering ownership of results and continuous improvement in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving with automated equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and CAD/PLC concepts.
• Clear verbal and written communication; able to train customers.
• Willingness to travel ~20% nationally and internationally; passport required.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize heat patterns and automated processes for brazing and soldering to meet specs.
• Test, debug, and refine automated equipment pre- and post-installation.
• Conduct machine demonstrations and process validations for customer evaluation and approval.
• Travel to customer facilities ~20% to install equipment and provide on-site support.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair customer machine issues in field settings.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and customers to improve processes.
• Document findings and service activities accurately.
• Create operating and maintenance manuals for the systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
