Progressive Machine & Design, LLC in Victor, NY is launching a brand-new Service Department and is seeking hands-on Field Service Engineers to help shape it. You’ll split time between shop and field, supporting custom automation systems deployed around the world and working closely with engineering.

This high-impact role involves installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and service support at customer sites, with up to 40% travel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in automation, controls, or field service.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex machines independently.
• Strong PLC, robotics, and automation knowledge.
• Willingness to travel up to ~40%.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and service support.
• Collaborate with engineering and build teams to assemble, debug, and validate systems.
• Troubleshoot and optimize electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control systems.
• Modify and support PLC, HMI, robotics, motion, and vision systems.
• Support FAT and SAT tests and remote/onsite service calls.
