Job summary

Amcor Flexibles, LLC in Evansville, IN is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, startup, and service automated packaging equipment, validate performance, and train operators. Travel up to 75% to customer sites, supporting PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and motion control systems.

A technical associate degree and experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems are required; preferred PLC/HMI and AutoCAD experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent practical experience in a technical field.
• Experience in field service, automation, manufacturing, controls, or equipment commissioning.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience troubleshooting industrial equipment and automation systems.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Support installation, startup, commissioning, and deployment of new and rebuilt automated equipment.
• Perform equipment testing and validation prior to production startup and customer acceptance.
• Provide on-site support for equipment installation, service, commissioning, troubleshooting, and operator training.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, controls, and automation-related issues.
• Support PLCs, HMIs, robotic systems, motion control systems, VFDs, and related automation hardware.
• Partner with engineering, project management, manufacturing, maintenance, and plant operations teams.
• Follow and promote safe work practices throughout all job functions.
• Share responsibility for rotating after-hours field service coverage.
