Job summary

Makino is seeking an Automation Support Engineer to manage the installation and support of automated systems in Mason, Ohio and customer locations. The role requires mechanical and electrical skills along with programming ability for robots and PLCs.

The successful candidate will have an associates degree in engineering technology and at least 3 years of experience in automation systems. This position involves significant travel (75%-90%) and offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong ability to install, debug and support automation systems.
• 3+ years of experience with automation systems required.
• Ability to understand mechanical and electrical engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Install and support automated machining systems at customer locations.
• Provide weekly reports on installation tasks.
• Program robots for Makino machining centers.

Mechanical and electrical controls aptitude

Programming robotic automation (Fanuc/ABB)

Reading and modifying PLC ladder logic
