Job summary

Makino, Inc. is seeking a Controls Project Engineer to design, program, integrate, and support automated manufacturing systems in collaboration with customers and suppliers. The role focuses on turnkey automation with Makino tooling, robots, PLCs, and vision systems.

You will work with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to ensure system performance, compliance with safety standards, and successful project execution across installations and site activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Controls, or Automation Engineering.
3+ years in controls/automation or industrial automation environments.
Experience supporting machine tools, robotics, or automated production systems is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement controls systems for automated machining and material handling.
Create/modify PLC, HMI, robot, and safety controller programs.
Develop interfaces between Makino equipment and third-party automation systems.
Prepare detailed controls documentation and commissioning procedures.
Support FAT/SAT activities and field startup.
