Job summary

Medtronic in North Haven, CT, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer for Medical Devices Operations to drive detailed process analysis, equipment evaluation, and data-based improvement actions across production work streams.

The role partners with manufacturing, maintenance and quality teams to implement corrective actions, optimize tooling, and lead engineering studies. Bachelor’s in engineering with 2+ years of experience or a Master’s with relevant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with automated/manual machine design, repair and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Creo/SolidWorks/AutoCAD; GD&T and problem-solving tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with manufacturing, maintenance and quality to review defects and implement corrective actions.
• Provide daily production support for metal forming, grinding and related processes.
• Lead engineering studies and DOE to improve existing manufacturing processes.
• Review tooling design and collaborate with toolmakers to improve tooling performance and reliability.
