Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required with GPA 3.0+ on 4.0 scale.
• 6+ months of related engineering co‑op or internship; 3 years design‑focused experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Inventor and AutoCAD experience preferred.
• Hands‑on experience with troubleshooting mechanical systems in automation.
• Experience with power presses, packaging equipment, or parts‑feeding systems preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and cross‑functional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and design modifications to existing machinery to improve efficiency, reliability, safety, and cost effectiveness.
• Develop and prepare Capital Requests for equipment projects, from concept through installation and support.
• Collaborate with vendors during quoting, design, and build phases to ensure specs and performance.
• Assist Maintenance in troubleshooting mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to support uptime.
• Recommend and implement equipment and process improvements aligned with objectives.
• Direct and coordinate internal teams and external contractors during installation and upgrade projects.
