Job summary

Olin is seeking a dynamic Project Engineer in Independence, MO to drive engineering projects from concept through completion on a 9/80 schedule. You will lead planning, coordinate with cross-functional teams, design and upgrade machinery, and ensure projects meet scope, schedule, and budget while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and at least 3 years of related experience, with roughly 10% travel and eligibility for a DoD security clearance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Civil, or Aerospace) preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related engineering experience.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical systems and machinery.
  • Ability to travel approximately 10%.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain DoD secret clearance and US citizenship.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects to meet goals and technical requirements.
  • Assist in designing, modifying, and upgrading machinery and production equipment to improve efficiency, safety, and reliability.
  • Participate in site visits, inspections, and troubleshooting to reduce downtime and improve system performance.
  • Collaborate with teams to optimize production processes while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  • Prepare technical reports, project documentation, cost estimates, and progress updates for informed decision-making.
