Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with GPA 3.0+ on a 4.0 scale.
• 6+ months of related engineering co‑op, internship, or full‑time experience; 3 years design-focused exp preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Inventor and AutoCAD preferred.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical troubleshooting of automation equipment preferred.
• Experience with power presses, packaging equipment, or parts-feeding systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and design modifications to existing machinery to improve efficiency, reliability, safety, quality, and cost.
• Develop and prepare Capital Requests for equipment projects from concept through installation.
• Collaborate with vendors to ensure equipment meets specs and performance.
• Assist Maintenance in troubleshooting mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to support uptime.
• Recommend and implement equipment and process improvements aligned with safety and quality.
• Direct and coordinate internal teams and external contractors during installation and upgrade projects.
